This manual contains important information and instructions that are necessary for the safe use of the product. 1 – Safety
Read the following safety instructions carefully before using the product for the first time and follow the instructions in this manual to avoid injury or damage to the product. Always carry this manual with you when using the product so that you have it available as a reference at all times. Pass this manual on if you pass the product on (e.g. sell or lend it) and contact the manufacturer if you have any questions or concerns about using the product.
1.1 Safety instructions
Operating conditions:
- Use the product only within the specified operating and environmental conditions. Avoid exposing it to direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, or weather when it is open.
Handling and Maintenance:
- Do not repair, disassemble, or modify the product yourself to avoid risks like electric shock, fire, or product damage.
- Clean the product with a dry, clean cloth while it is switched off.
- Do not immerse the product in liquids or spray it directly. Ensure it is dry before opening.
Water and Dust Resistance:
- The product is water and dust resistant only when properly closed. Do not operate it with damp or wet hands.
- Remove water using a dry, soft cloth before interacting with the product.
Electrical Safety:
- Use only the provided power cable to charge the COBOX (input voltage: 90-264 V, 50-60 Hz).
- Charge the AUDAs exclusively in the designated COBOX slots.
- Do not use damaged cables, and avoid excessive bending or heavy loads on them.
Battery Usage:
- Fully charge the battery before first use. Avoid continuous charging—disconnect components once fully charged.
- If unused for long periods, charge the battery every four months.
- For air travel, reduce the battery charge to a maximum of 30% and transport the AUDAs separately from the COBOX.
Accessories and Compatibility:
- Only use original or manufacturer-approved accessories. Do not charge other devices with this product.
- The Ethernet cable length must not exceed 3 meters.
Damage and Inspection:
- Before using the product, ensure all components are present and undamaged. Contact the manufacturer if any parts are missing or faulty.
- Do not use the product if it is damaged or malfunctioning.
Placement and Storage:
- Operate the product only on a flat, stable surface.
- Store it in a dry, dust-free location when not in use.
Child Safety:
- The product can be used by children aged 8+ or individuals with reduced capabilities only if supervised or properly instructed.
- Keep the product, accessories, and packaging out of reach of small children. These are not toys and can cause injury or damage.
Air Transport:
- Always carry the product as hand luggage.
- For compliance, consult the airline regarding specific guidelines before boarding.
Medical Device Precautions:
- Keep the product away from people with pacemakers or other medically necessary electrical devices.
1.2 Conformity
Coachwhisperer GmbH hereby declares that the products “Cobox” (Article No.: CW-0002-0A-R-0001) and “AUDA” (Article No.: CW-0005-0A-R-0001) conform to the requirements of Directive 2014/53/EU. The full text of the declaration of conformity can be viewed at coachwhisperer.de/compliance.
Warning: The operation of this device or this equipment can cause radio interference in the residential area.
2- Components and Specifications
The following components are included as standard in the delivery of the system:
- Cobox (including power cable)
- Auda (including loudspeaker)
- Soundvest
- Router
- Instruction manual
2.1 Cobox
The COBOX consists of a portable case in which up to 27 AUDAs can be transported, stored and charged. The AUDAs are assigned to the players via the integrated touchscreen.

2.2 Auda
The AUDA is worn by the players on their bodies or in an optionally available and specially developed sound vest (SOUNDVEST). It enables data to be received from the coach to the player.

2.3 Soundvest
The SOUNDVEST is a vest that is used to safely store the AUDAs during use. A pocket on the back allows the AUDA to be optimally positioned and connected to the loudspeaker pre-mounted in the SOUNDVEST.

3- Preparation and Initial Setup
The components of the system are packaged as required upon delivery. Before the first use please check the delivery for the following:
- Completeness of the product components
- Integrity of the packaging and all components contained
- Completeness and accuracy of the delivery documents
In case of defects or damage, please report them immediately to the manufacturer and the responsible supplier and document the issue.
3.1 Create an Apple account
Create an Apple account on your iPad:
- Go to Settings and tap Sign In in the top left corner.
- Sign in with your existing Apple ID, or tap Forgot Password or Don’t Have an Apple Account?
- Tap Create a Free Apple Account.
- Select your birthday and enter your name. Tap Next.
- Enter your email address. This will be your primary email address for signing in to your Apple account. If you don’t have an email address, tap Don’t have an email address? to get a free iCloud email address.
- Follow the onscreen instructions to verify your email address, create a secure password, set the device country or region, and set up two-factor authentication. After you confirm your email address, you can sign in to your new Apple account and use the App Store and other Apple services like iCloud.”
3.2 Install the CoachApp
In order to use the Coachwhisperer system you need to download the CoachApp into your personal iPad. If the iPad device is provided by the manufacturer, the CoachApp will be already downloaded and ready to use.
Install the CoachApp using the following QR code:

3.3 Initial setup of the Coachwhisperer
This section will guide you through preparing and setting up your Coachwhisperer system for your training session. Please follow the steps carefully to ensure optimal performance.
- Make sure all the devices are fully charged.
- Set-up the router system and connect it to the Cobox. Turn on the Cobox and login into the CoachApp.
- Once the Cobox is fully powered on, scan the QR code displayed with the CoachApp to link both devices. If this is not displayed, you can find the options in both devices settings screens.
- With the Cobox and CoachApp linked, select your players by tapping them on the Cobox touchscreen.
- Take the Audas that lights up out of the Cobox, and hand them to the assigned players to plug into their Soundvest.
- Connected players should appear in CoachApp, ready to start the communication.
4- Charging the devices
To ensure optimal performance of the Coachwhisperer System it is important that all devices are fully charged before your training session.
4.1 Charging the Cobox
The Cobox has an integrated battery that is charged via the power connector on the side of the case.
- Close the case of the Cobox and flip up the power connector cover.
- Plug the supplied power cable to the power connector and secure it by twisting the cable to the side.
- Plug the power cable to a power outlet.
4.2 Charging the Audas
The Audas are loaded via the supply connections within the Cobox.
- Open the case of the Cobox
- Insert the Auda with the USB charging port into one of the designated slots in the Cobox.
Have in mind that the Audas are only charging when the Cobox is switched on or connected to the power supply via the power connector.
5- Maintenance and Cleaning
5.1 Maintenance
The Coachwhisperer system software must always be updated in order to be used. An internet connection is needed to update the system.
The Coachwhisperer system has no user-serviceable components. Please contact the manufacturer for repairs or servicing.
5.2 Cleaning
- Cobox and Audas: Wipe with a clean, dry cloth regularly to remove dust and debris.
- Soundvest: Wash at a maximum of 30°C, either by hand or in a washing machine.
- Before washing, remove the Auda.
- Sort laundry by color; avoid bleach, fabric softener, or harsh detergents.
- Turn the vest inside out and use a laundry net to prolong its lifespan.
6- Disposal

The crossed-out wheeled bin symbol indicates that a product and its accessories (e.g. charger, USB cable) should not be disposed of with household waste at the end of their life. To prevent harm to the environment or human health from uncontrolled waste disposal, and to promote the sustainable reuse of material resources, please separate these items from other types of waste and recycle them responsibly.
Batteries can contain substances that can be harmful to the environment and human health. You are legally obliged to return used batteries. Please note the disposal instructions on the batteries.
Before disposing of the product, consider environmentally friendly options, such as selling or repairing functional items to reduce waste.
- Personal Data: Ensure all personal information (e.g., saved login data, usernames, passwords, or files) is permanently deleted from the product.
- Batteries and Light components: Remove any batteries or light components if this can be done safely and without damaging the product.
- Disposal for Private Customers: Take the product to a public collection or recycling center in your area. Contact your local authority for details on suitable collection points.
- Disposal for Commercial Customers: Products can be returned directly to the manufacturer for proper disposal.
